that cycle through the environment)
Know processes of:
- the water cycle and how water moves through the
environment
-Know the processes of the carbon cycle and where carbon is
stored
Heat &
Temperature
-know that heat is a form of energy
-know the scientific meaning of temperature
-know the particle model of matter (how do particles
move? What happens when particles are
heated? Cooled?
- How energy is transferred (conduction, convection,
radiation)
-How does the above relate to thermometers?
Performance Base Assessments-Math
-know place value up to
hundred thousand and down to ten thousandths.
-know how to add and subtract decimals and fraction numbers
-know how to multiply and divide decimal numbers
-convert between fractions, decimals and percent
-write an algebraic expression based on a table; know how to
evaluate an expression; create a graph based on a table of values
